I found this delicious recipe on pinterest and had to try it out!
You need:
a yellow cake mix
lemonade
2 lbs. strawberries
1/4 cup sugar
1 lemon
cool whip or whip cream
1 jar of lemon curd
Slice your strawberries and add sugar and juice from one lemon. Put the strawberries in the fridge while you make your cakes.
Prepare the cake according to the instructions on the box and substitute lemonade for the water.
When the cakes are done, let them cool completely. For the first layer, spread on the lemon curd, pour half of the strawberries on, and add a layer of whipped cream.
Set your other cake on top and repeat.
Put in the fridge and serve chilled. It was so yummy!
Have a Happy 4th of July!
