What We Wore – It’s Awesome Time {The Printed Palette}

 Picture this:
My mini me racing through the kitchen on a brand new Disney Princess scooter, riding around the island as fast as she can–almost giving me a heart attack because of the granite edges. She’s wearing her Christmas Princess pajama dress, bright pink socks, blinged out pink Converse from The Lil Cupcake, and she’s rockin’ the bedhead like it’s nobody’s business.

I’m nervously catching and steering her away from an ouchie and she looks at me serious as can be and says, “Mommy, do you think I’m awesome?”

I looked down and tried not to giggle at the innocent at how cute she looked in an outfit that definitely would not be my first choice and said to her, “babe, you are the most awesome 3 year old I know.”

She now will ask at random times if I think this is awesome or if that is awesome, so here is a little list for her of things I think are awesome about her.

 To my mini best friend:

I think you are awesome because you say we are best friends. I will remember that when you bring home a boy and ask for my opinion. I think it’s awesome that you are shy at first. Hopefully that will stay and it will make boys work ridiculously hard to catch your attention. I think it’s awesome when you try to run away from the camera when I just want “1 more picture.” I think you are awesome for wanting to match with mommy and wear my heels, my makeup, and my jewelry. The piles of extra outfits laying around can stay for now because I know my clothes won’t always seem so cute and following mom around like a shadow won’t always be the case. I think it is awesome that you love your daddy like there is no tomorrow and can’t be separated from your mommy for more than a quick playdate. You are awesome because you just float around in your own little world, happy and care free. My baby sis was like that and is one of the happiest people I know. Singing, dancing, dressing up, painting toe nails and reading fairy tales are awesome things you like to do.
I think it’s awesome that you find the pretty in every person you see. The nurse at the doctor’s office was a little grouchy and you complimented her on her Hello Kitty outfit, which brightened her up. You always make sure to compliment strangers on their pretty toenails, dresses, shoes, and sweaters. When we walk away you make a comment about what a nice person they were. You nurture your brother and sister like a mini mom and we all love you for it. You also have the tendency to boss your brother like a mom sometimes and he puts up with it pretty well.
I think it’s awesome that you love to cuddle, twirl, and give kisses.
Your unique little accent is awesome. We have no idea where it came from, but it’s your own little voice that makes you you.
Pretty much I think you are the most awesome 3 year old I know and I think it’s awesome that I get to be your momma.
