Moving, Traveling & Summer – Better Nights with GoodNites

“This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and GoodNites, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #BetterNights  http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO.”

These last few weeks have been a little bit crazy and I anticipate they are only going to get crazier.
We have lived with my parents for the last 2 years and in May the husband moved for a job promotion and we have been house hunting ever since.
Last week we had 25 of our 35 family members in town for my brother’s mission farewell.
This week I will start organizing, my brother leaves, and I hope to head out to look at houses and schools.
Simply put, daddy is gone, lots of family and fun was happening and we will go from having the comfort of grandma and grandpa 24-7 to being 10 hours away starting a new little life for us.
Plus it’s summer so routine is out the window.
The day I got home from the hospital with baby sis, big sis decided she was done with diapers. She pretty much potty trained herself. Her big brother wasn’t hard to potty train either. I don’t have much advice to give as far as potty training goes, but it does work for us to go potty, brush teeth and get 1 small drink of water before bedtime.
We have had a few nighttime accidents, but I want to make the move and any trips we might make during the rest of the summer go smoothly.
I found this GoodNites coupon at Target.com and decided to try it out which ended up being a pretty good deal.
She has almost been potty trained for a year so I don’t want to take a step back and make her wear bedtime underwear. She helped with the “sticky” part and laid it out all by herself. It’s great size, 2.5 by 3 feet.
Both of my older kids get bugged easily by textures. For example, itchy tags on underwear, shirts, and shorts. I thought that they would throw a fit right away and they said nothing!
Big brother was such a good sport and as they were being tossed around from their own beds to sleeping bags to an extra bed, he tried the bed mats out too.
I know that kids are resilient, but it kind of breaks my heart thinking we are turning her little world upside down. She has been around my parents since she was 18 months so she doesn’t know much else. While we are traveling and moving I want to have the bed mats handy in case we do have an accident. It will help ease my stress which I’m sure will help ease everyone’s stress.
Do you travel during the summer? How do your kids react?
I can only imagine my kids being so excited with a couple days at the beach or Disneyland, but also worn out and off routine.
They are with the measly few boxes I have started organizing.
Head to Target to grab yours with your $1.50 off coupon!
xo,
