Life has been flying by.
I keep thinking to myself, after this busy moment I will catch a break.
Who am I kidding? I take another thing on and it doesn’t slow down.
I pulled into Old Navy recently and candy canes were up in the parking lot, I was shopping humming along to Christmas music, and the smell of cinnamon filled the air thanks to Michaels.
I love Christmas! I really do, but I don’t want my children going from the thrill of getting a ton of candy to the thrill of Santa Claus and presents.
I am thankful for so much and am trying my best to teach them to be grateful for all they have.
I’ve been working with Yeung Mother Hubbard and Madison Design Shop and this is what we’ve come up with. I’m so excited to share!
Madison Design Shop designed these fantastic tags for us to let our friends and family know that we are thankful for them! I am glad these came out so awesome and best part is they can be used at any time throughout the year! Wouldn’t you love to get a little pick me up and know that someone is grateful for you?! Maybe you have a friend that never, ever says a negative thing about anyone and you love that about her, take her a note! Maybe you have a friend that occasionally helps your child walk up to kindergarten because she knows you have 2 sleeping in the car, take her a note! Or maybe you have a friend that you know is going through a tough time with one of her sweet children, take her a note! I know how great it feels to know you are appreciated and sometimes it feels even better to be the one saying thank you.
When I was thinking about taking plates around, I was so overwhelmed by the number of friends that came to mind. I’m pretty grateful for the chance to take a step back, count my many blessings, and say thanks to a few sweet families that mean a lot to me.
We put together 7 plates filled with turkey shaped sugar cookies, peanut butter chocolate rice krispie treats, and brownies.
My hubs was the driver of our get away car, I was pretty much the coolest mom ever with my mask that barely let me breathe-seriously can you see a hole in that mouth?! and Batman cape, Batman would ring the doorbell and Batgirl (her purple shirt is on under the jacket) would carefully place the plate on the doormat. We hid behind bushes and in front of vans and laughed like crazy when we made it back to the car. Our sweet boy let us know this was his most favorite night ever and he was upset that I didn’t make more treats. His sister let us know she loved it by crying when she realized we were on our way home for the night.
