I love the Be Series from Cents of Style. So many good options for tees, hats, and bracelets…Which are all of my favorite things to be wearing during summer.
All things I strive to do. Be kind to people because it really makes a huge difference.
Be still and be present because quite frankly, life is moving too fast and it can be hard to slow down and breathe through the simple, priceless moments.
Be True.
Now that one has been harder for me.
Be true to who you are.
I have had experiences in my life with different groups of friends all throughout school that left me struggling to be me.
In elementary school, it was wanting to be involved in girl scouts and numerous activities that weren’t really me.
In junior high and high school, I would try so hard to fit in, to be included, to build talents that might not have come so naturally.
It was so stressful and held me back more than it helped me.
I don’t know that it really hit me until recently that I don’t have time to do what Peggy Sue & Emmy Lou have the time & talents to do.
Not only do I not have the time, I also have people around me that like me for me.
I can only do me.
And then I started realizing that when I do me, I’m happier, I am more fulfilled & I can do what I do well.
If I’m being true to myself, I can get more accomplished and get my priorities straight.

Be True & Do You:
I love parties and events. I like details, desserts, flowers, people.
I love my sleep, I need it more than exercise.
I love exploring with my family in the mountains, but once the sun goes down, I prefer my bed over a sleeping bag.
I should use a calendar, and maybe will start soon, but for right now I’m going hour to hour sometimes minute to minute.
I love good people & once we connect…probably over chocolate, I’m extremely loyal.
I don’t sing, sew, or iron, but I do bake, occasionally craft, and love to decorate.
My door is always open for people to drop by and most of the time it looks like a bomb went off in my house.
I don’t play Barbies with my girls, spend hours coloring, or playing with playdoh, but I do enjoy letting my son think he can beat me at basketball in the front yard, attending his soccer games, and painting the girls nails.
I love having treats when the kids have friends over.
My idea of a great night is playing Settlers of Catan with my husband and a few friends.
I’m as happy as a clam when my husband asks where we are going for dinner instead of what is for dinner?
Get me Yogurtland after dinner and I could cry the happiest tears.

I have had to realize that sometimes you just need to let go. If I have a busy week, then the couple who just had a baby are getting Cafe Rio instead of a home cooked meal. I can’t be on every field trip, every church function, and every party.
As moms & women, I swear there is something in us that makes us think we can do everything and anything we put our minds to.
Really though, there are only 24 hours in the day & most of them are planned out from the second the day day starts.
So give yourself a break & do you.
