First off, I rarely buy clothing that is full price. Like Mrs. J. mentioned in an earlier post we both love a good deal. I don’t shop as much as I used to but when I do I kind of set 2 rules for myself. I 1) have to LOVE what I am buying, I can’t talk myself into it like all of us women do sometimes and 2) I have to have a coupon, it has to be on sale/clearance, or it can’t be real expensive. I like the feeling of walking out of a store feeling like it was an accomplishment!
These days it is sometimes challenging to find a good quality, modest outfit, for pretty cheap. A lot of the unique stuff that fits me well and things I love come from my current two favorites- Banana Republic and Anthropologie… of course both stores come with pretty clothes as well as pretty big price tags. So when I spot things on sale or I have a coupon I get very excited! Recently I found this skirt online on sale, but I hate buying things online! It takes awhile to get to you, you have to try it on and then take the time to send it back if it doesn’t work out. Lucky for me, I happened to stop into Anthropologie right around Valentine’s and spotted the same skirt in store on sale in my size! (This was after digging through the racks of sale clothes they stuff into the tiny back room of every Anthro of course). I was very excited to wear this number out a few weeks ago and I got lots of compliments on it from friends, family, and random women on the street so I thought I’d share it with y’all. I’m sure for you sewers out there it wouldn’t be difficult to replicate and you don’t see many like it!

Hi! I hopped over here to follow. Come follow me too?
Coming over from a blog hop. Here to follow you, would love if you could stop by my own blog sometime.
I love those stripes on you. I think they look great.
I love that longer skirts are back in style! Let’s just say helping your kids climb up playgrounds is not so easy in the mini-summer dresses that have been going around! But I love the length of that skirt! And the horizontal stripes keep it from looking too long as well! Bravo lady! Very stylish and on the pocket book too 😉
I just adore that striped skirt – so cute and stylish, yet it looks so comfy and practical!
That skirt looks wonderful and you pull that tricky length off so easily and stylishly. You look lovely honey, have a great day. ax

You’re the first person I’ve seen look so thin and beautiful in horizontal stripes! Rock it!
The black and white picture is soooo pretty! And I love your header, too! New follower, found you on the Pleated Poppy.
