During Alt Summit a couple of months ago, I got to go to a dinner where the theme was white and geometric.
I quickly ordered the first skirt I found only to be emailed back 3 days later saying the skirt was out of stock.
I was running extremely short on time and Amanda from Recycled Design saved the day!
I could have reached through the phone and squeezed her. She’s a lifesaver!
If you follow me on Instagram, you’d know that this was a pretty popular dress for this dinner. The cutest white dress award goes to Kingdom & State.

Today I’m sharing a little behind the scenes with my favorite hair and makeup ladies.
At first I would meet up with them, get my hair and makeup done and they’d wish me good luck for whatever I was doing.
On my way I’d go.
Now they are sweet, sweet friends.
Not only does Emma style my hair for big, fun dinners, but she colors it as well. If you need someone in the Utah/Salt Lake County area, she is your girl.
In about 5 minutes and with a handful of bobby pins, my hair became an updo.
She’s so darling and spunky.
I don’t go to her only because I want to feel pampered, I go to her because I can barely put my hair in a ponytail.
Seriously, I tried to braid my hair on the side the other day (in front of a mirror of course) and half way down it became an inside out braid…Don’t even ask me how that happened.
I need to start practicing on my 5 year old.
You’d think that after having 5 older brothers, I would be bursting at the seams to be girly.
I was into ruffles and frill, but makeup and hair still confused me so I just figured out the bare minimum.
Then I met Jen. She introduced me to lip color. Yes, lipstick.
By the end of our first day together I would have let her put any color lipstick on me.
I trusted her that much.
I didn’t feel that it was over the top. She helps educate me and tells me about all of her favorite products, a lot of which will not break the bank.
She came to my house and pampered my girls with lipstick too.
She’s the cutest and is local to Utah/Salt Lake County also.
