PB Temptations

I saw this recipe for Peanut Butter Temptations from HERSHEY’S around Christmas and kept thinking I needed to give it a try! Well, Christmas came and went, and while I was baking up a storm, I forgot these!
I saw heart shaped Reese’s PB cups a few days ago and thought these would be a fun Valentine’s treat!

I took the recipe and doubled it so I could make them in regular size cupcake liners.
My cute cupcake liners are from Dk DeleKtables

{made just over 3 dozen}
You’ll need:
About 40 (13 oz pkg) REESE’S Peanut Butter Cups (hearts)
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt

Heat oven to 375. Remove wrappers from candies. Line muffin cups with cupcake liners.
Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, pb, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy in a large bowl.
Stir together flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to butter mixture and mix until well blended. Roll dough into at least 2 1/2 inch balls, place one in each cupcake liner. Do not flatten.
Bake 10-12 minutes until puffed and lightly browned. Remove from oven. Immediately press peanut butter cup or heart onto each cookie.

Leave them in the cupcake liner, or pack them in a mason jar!
I bet anyone would love to get these delicious treats!

Chocolate. Chocolate. More. Those are beautiful. I bet Dove chocolates would go in there, or M&Ms or … but those heart shaped PBCups are so pretty and your cookies are beautiful and the jar is so handsome for a photo! Enjoyed your post.
Oh, have you seen ZipList? I found it on Paul’s blog, http://saladinajar.ziplist.com/signup?return_to=%2Frecipes%2Fbox — it’s a recipe collection center. Neat idea if you do a lot of recipes! Thanks, Jenn (via Liz’s TTT)
