Thank you Martha!

A few weeks ago I was perusing Martha Stewart’s website wondering if there was anything fun I could attempt and this is what I found. Now keep in mind, I was hoping to find something to do with my kids so this was perfect! {this is probably all I could handle anyways, but we can say that I needed to bring it down a level for the kids :)}
I had just come back from a trip to San Francisco with some girlfriends and had stopped by a huge candy store and picked these up knowing Cowboy would love them. I also knew I would need to come up with a good way of not letting him eat a package in one sitting. Cutting them up into little hearts and giving some away should do the trick. All you need is paper, candy buttons, scissors, and I used a glue dot on the back of each one.
Wah lah! If these don’t look perfect, it’s because they’re not. I let my 4 year old help cut while he was trying to sneak some and my 1 year old was using my body as an obstacle course to get to these. Fun family activity right?! We took some to our cousins for the superbowl party and the kids loved them!

I’m linking up to this fantastic blog…

  • That is adorable, from the picture I thought they were cookies, but this is easier and still super cute!

  • What a cute idea!! And the fact they aren’t perfect because the kids helped is even better!!

    But I have OCD…so I have to really remind myself sometimes it doesn’t have to be perfect…REALLY….REALLY….REALLY remind myself. LOL

    I thought they were cookies from Martha’s picture.

  • These treats are so cute. What a great idea. I am stopping in via the Sunday social at The Sasse Life. I am from TheStuffofSuccess and I am your newest follower. Feel free to stop on by and say hello. Have a great week. Athena
