Valentine’s Card-Guest Post by Becky

I love love love making new friends in blogland and finding out that some of my good friends have their own blogs! My awesome cousins and aunt have a blog and I asked them to come over here!
So thrilled to have them!
I am so excited to be doing a guest post on Delightful Deets. My name is Becky and I am one of the contributors of Jilly’s Stampin Studio. My mom, sister and I decided to start a blog to share fun crafts we do. My mom is a Stampin Up Demonstrator so we do a lot of stamping crafts. We mostly like to make cards, but occasionally we will share home decor, scrapbooking, and decorating ideas and projects. This is one of the things we love to do and it is a great creative outlet for us.
We all enjoy chocolate, movie theater popcorn
(yes there is a big difference from store bought),
diet coke, warm weather and movies.
If you want to know more about us, check out our blog.
Today I am sharing two cards that I made. To me both of these cards are feminine with a vintage feel. The first one is a Valentines card. There are elements of fabric and paper combined. I had this fabric for awhile and I never could figure out how to use it on a card until Valentines day came around and I thought of HEARTS. I cut 2 hearts out of three different patterns of fabric so I have a total of 6 hearts. I layered and staggered the fabric. punched a hole near the middle then put them together with a brad and glued a pearl on top of the brad. The three smaller hearts at the bottom right and the bracket are fabric as well. I glued the green patterned paper down and put the ruffled ribbon at the top. The last thing I did was stamp “Happy Valentine’s Day.” DONE!
This next card was super simple to make. I love the bird cages! I stamped a branch near the top and then I wanted the bird cages to look like they were hanging from the branch. So I stamped the cages and then stamped a line up to the branch. It worked out just how I wanted it to. I added two kinds of ribbon to the side and then glued it on paper then I was done! This card could be a thank you card, a wedding card but to me it looked like a baby card.
Thanks for letting me share a few projects with you today!
Super cute!
Make sure and go check them out!
I’m loving the free owl printable & giveaway they are offering right now, along with this darling yellow & gray bedroom, and a few more Valentine’s cards!
