Popcorn Box Party Blog Hop & Candy Corn Cookie Recipe

candy corn cookiesI’m thrilled to be a part of the Popcorn Box Blog Hop this year! I was sent a popcorn box and challenged to use our creativity to dress it up. With the amount of neighborhood kids we have running in and out of our house daily, cookies are a must have. If they aren’t made beforehand, I usually can guarantee that I have all the ingredients. So I thought a box full of cookies would be the perfect way to get ready for Halloween.

I grabbed some glitter cardstock and stuck it on. I cut out little circles, like I did for these DIY Anthropologie Party Favor Bags, and stuck them on. I made a teeny candy corn felt banner in about 3 minutes and draped that on the front.

So good!

You need:
1 lb butter {4 sticks}
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 cups brown sugar
1 TBSP vanilla
3 eggs
Combine these ingredients together first and then sift in:
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp salt
5 1/2-6 cups flour
I used 1/2 a bag of white chocolate chips, almost a full bag of the M&M’s, and 3 handfuls of candy corns.
*These are estimates. I had a lot of extra helping hands that day, the kind that take 3 and put 1 in the mix 😉

Bake @375 for 8-10 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet.
