Holiday Cards from Open Me

“This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign withPollinate Media Group™ andOpen Me, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #OpenMeHoliday http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO.”

siblingsI feel incredibly blessed with the siblings and parents I’ve been given. There are 9 of us- 5 from our dad’s previous marriage, then me, my sister, and 2 more boys. We all get along really well. The 4 of us are really close and we are just missing the baby brother who is in England on a mission for our church.
I feel fortunate that relationships with my siblings have never been a struggle. We count the days until we go home, we party like rockstars and bake up a storm while we are there, and then tease our cute parents on group messages or overwhelm them with face time when we aren’t there.
We cuddle with our dad, bake in aprons, dance and sing, and play over-the-top competitive games like who-sir-me-sir?
I just saw my sister a few weeks ago for our brother (in the picture) homecoming. We had a blast. I know that her life is going to be changing for the good this next year. Last week, she finished school. As in, getting her Master’s to be a Nurse Practitioner. People can make appointments with her. She is my hero. She is my on call nurse and trust me, I use that every single time I’m too lazy to use Dr. Google. I’m surprised her husband hasn’t sent me an invoice.
Just last week she finished. Boards will be coming soon and she’s already got a job.
Proud is an understatement. Whenever I think about it, I get all teary eyed.
I had the babies quick, she went and got a degree quick.
We have sort of lived vicariously through each other, except I’m not getting the checks for wiping bums and doing laundry that she’s getting. 🙂
I wouldn’t trade spots for a second though.
I wanted to send her a card to let her know I was thinking about her and how proud I am of her.
I went to Open Me where you can send cards to friends and family through email or snail mail.
Since I’m all about instant gratification, I started picking my favorites to email.

I was stuck for a few minutes! It took me longer to pick out the card than it did to actually make and send it!
I was really close to using the Santa one because she is my partner in crime, but I decided on the Here We Are card because we are always reminiscing on the olden days.
Just tonight on face time we were joking with my son about a Christmas themed message my mom has us record every year on the land line voicemail.
Remember those?!
openme holiday cardsI picked my card, checked out the front, inside and back and got started.
open me holiday cardsI added a picture of my kids, which is optional, but she’s kind of smitten so I knew she’d love it.
I love pictures. Open Me has a handful of different options for the shape of picture and I was really impressed with that. It could be square, rectangle and with rectangle came a bunch of dimensions to play around with. Awesome option!
Also, the fonts were so cute! I tried all 10 of them out and went with a script one.
open me holiday card for a loved oneWhen I was done, I previewed it and decided to schedule it to be delivered tomorrow.
Open Me is so user friendly. Like I said, it took longer for me to narrow down my favorites than it did for me to make the card.
If you are looking to send a friend or family member a card, this is the way to go. There is a great variety to choose from and the site is easy to navigate.
Go check them out!
