For my sister’s “enjoy the ride” baby shower, I made a yummy lemon and orange scrub to send home with all of the attendees. I was intimidated by scrubs and now that I’ve made one, I can’t believe it took so long. They are so cheap to make and you can really make it your own.
I ordered these little jars from Amazon, labels from Online Labels, & I made mini flowers using Carte Fini crepe paper (tutorial coming soon).
You need:
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup coconut oil
zest from an orange and lemon
drops of orange essential oil (I found this at Sprouts)
I made about 20 favors and I made this batch twice. Put the sugar into a medium sized bowl and melt the coconut oil in a small bowl. I got about 5-6 TBSP of zest from the lemon and orange and added that to the sugar. Pour the coconut oil into the sugar mixture and stir until combined. I put a lot of drops of orange in, maybe 25-30. I wanted a big scent, but you can do less.
We set them in a little basket that was attached to a vintage scooter (love love love renting vintage pieces from 3 Dotter’s Vintage) and put them by the dessert so everyone remembered to take one on their way out.
