Who here has tried the Maskcara IIID Foundation?
I was super lucky to have Cara do our makeup a couple years back at SNAP Conference. She has a crazy amount of talent in bringing out people’s best features. When she spoke at Elevate, she brought 1 lady up to do her brows, and another lady up for contouring and highlighting. It was so fun to watch her do it on the spot and give people tips to do their makeup at home.
Her blog has so many amazing tutorials for tips and tricks with makeup.
When she released the Maskcara IIID Foundation, I messaged her a picture of myself and asked what colors would go well with my skin.
I got the Pearl Illuminator, the Pink Grapefruit Blush, the Walnut Contour, & Moonlit for the Highlight.
I also grabbed one of her brushes and it is the softest brush I have! I love that it is 2 sided.
I teamed up with my girl, Jen, to make a video reviewing Cara’s stuff. It was so fun to learn about her world because she’s been making videos for a long time. She definitely knows her stuff.
In true first time fashion, I definitely learned a few good lessons from it.
#1 Take pictures with your normal camera if it’s going on the blog and if you are using your camera phone, make sure it’s not on square mode. (I wish I could insert the monkey covering his eyes emoji)
#2 Take a before shot and not just an after
#3 Don’t be afraid to talk into the camera & maybe practice talking at the mirror so you can see what you look like.
