I have always wanted to have a Secret Garden style Party.
That probably doesn’t come as a shocker to anyone who knows me. I love all flowers. I love fresh, effortless looking bouquets and I usually try to get some type of Secret Garden look to my parties & it never turns out quite right.
And now I’m pretty sure it’s because I didn’t have The Golden Petal in my life.
I said Secret Garden, sent her a couple pictures and her displays of flowers was amazing.
Michelle from The Mumsy Blog & Sandy from Sandy a la mode are always doing cute stuff with their girls & I asked them if they were ever doing something close to where I live to invite me.
They were so nice to let my girls and I tag along.
We got to read The Secret Garden darling board book from Babylit, eat delicious macarons & sugar cookies, and watch our girls mingle.
My older daughter just adores babies and it was so fun to see Sandy’s little girl hug her and become quick friends with her.
She is quite the little mommy.
I love this platter that I grabbed at an antique show for $10!
They were so excited to have all these treats to try!
I get compliments all the time on my stumps. I got the inspiration from West Elm and really wanted them. I lucked out though because my neighbor was cutting down a tree. I got the stumps and painted them white so they can serve as a table (I have some larger stumps) or a stool.
Telling me what their favorite flowers in the book are.

Love the magic Brittany does with my hair.
Secret garden party calls for rose braids.

We had a fun time hanging out & making new friends!

I love The Golden Petal! Beautiful flowers and shoot!
I loved your party! I too love flowers and have always dreamed of having a Secret Garden Party! You Ladies looked like you had a very nice time. Looking at the pictures made me want to be there too! I wanted to take the treats along with the girls. Everything looked so vibrant and alive! I hope one day to be able to have a nice Secret Garden Party somewhat like what you had, only my daughter is now grown. So maybe I can make due with Grandchildren if I am blessed with some!? I’m still waiting… maybe one day soon? Anyway, thank you for sharing your pictures, your time, your talents and your daughter with us. It was certainly a treat for the eyes!
