We love a good family outing.
We’ve been enjoying summer for over a month and it’s not slowing down at all.
My husband had a work conference and for 1 of the days he got to pick an activity to try.
He went paddle boarding in a marina in Southern California. I remember being so envious and have wanted to try ever since. I’ve had a couple of friends tell me it is such a blast and that I needed to try it.
I would say that of course we should go together, but I’d never follow through because I had major fear of falling off.
A couple weeks ago a sweet friend asked if I’d want to go and try it out. Now was the perfect time for a new family outing. The kids were invited and I knew the reservoir that we were going to pretty well.
The employees at Nomad Paddle Rental were so sweet and helped calm me down.
If you are in Utah, you should definitely check them out.
I tried it & absolutely loved it. It is definitely a great workout. I was sore in places that probably aren’t supposed to be sore. I thought my arms would be sore and it was totally my legs. I had my girls on the front of the board one of the times so I think I was just overcompensating and praying I wouldn’t flip over in the middle of the reservoir.
Not only did I do it, my husband did it along with our 9 year old son and our 6 year old daughter tried it.
This was definitely one of our most favorite family outings so far this summer.
Mine & my daughters swimsuits are from Rad Swim.
We are big fans of trying out local reservoirs, hikes and lakes during the summer.
We love finding an adventure.
This one happens to be such a beautiful reservoir tucked in a quiet community.
What I really loved about this family outing was that I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried something brand new.
Something that looked like I would enjoy, but was too nervous to actually try it.
This coverup & bag are 2 essentials for me this summer. The bag holds everything I possibly need for a day at the water. Scroll to the bottom for some of my favorite cover-ups and large bags.
