When we had our little boy, 6 short years ago, I went home with a freebie hospital diaper bag thinking it would work just fine.
Fast forward a year, I never used it and we had just gotten ourselves settled in San Francisco. A handful of my friends had these gorgeous diaper bags. Everything looked so neat and organized in a bunch of intelligently placed pockets. While I’m shuffling and hurrying to find binkies and snacks in an oversized bag that I tell myself is doing the job, they are reaching in still in conversation and pulling out exactly what they need.
I let my husband know that with our next child we will be getting me a Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag.
Almost 3 years later, I had it! We love it! I could not imagine not having it now!
So when I got an email inviting me to the launch party at the flagship store, I didn’t even blink!
I may or may not have written Ashley and said I don’t know if I’m more excited to meet you or see the Petunia Pickle Bottom store.

DeNai Jones is the founder/head designer of Petunia Pickle Bottom and I was in awe when she came and spoke to us. Her design boards were beautiful and she was so down to earth. I enjoyed hearing about her creative process and browsing around. That’d be a pretty awesome place to work! She spoke about her new line and I cannot wait to see the handbags. I’m also excited for the Sons of Trade line to come out because I saw some of it and I think the hubs will love it!
Loved meeting Trisha! Oh my goodness, she’s so darling! I kind of wanted to tell her how amazing it was that she donated so many pouches last year to Elevate because it was incredible. Complete sweetheart!
It was such a fun night finally getting to meet some wonderful ladies that I feel like I know because we email or comment or follow up with each others lives on instagram!

I would have never guessed that Mique would have been so awesome and down to earth! She puts on the awesome Queen Bee Market! She keeps snagging the vintage pyrex from the Goodwill that’s in our area and then sends me pictures of it!
Lindsay is super sweet, like you need to go be friends with her because she has such a sweet heart. She leaves the nicest comments and leaves me wanting to be like her.
I heard Andrea’s talk at the Penelope Lane Mini Conference was great so it was fun meeting her!

I think Jacqui thinks I’m kidding when I tell her I ate every cookie I could get at Elevate. Her sugar cookies are amazing!
When I saw this circus tent on Gillian’s blog and then saw the tutorial for it, I wanted Lynden to be friends with Wednesday Jones, heck I wanted to be friends with her! I felt like an idiot saying that to Gillian, but seriously maybe Lynden could have a playdate with her and she’d see real quick how lousy my forts are!
Ashley was just as sweet and genuine in real life as she is on her blog. Her family is beautiful as well as her home. So thankful for this opportunity to go! She’s the reason I started this little space of mine and to meet her was awesome. Can’t wait until she speaks at Elevate in May!
