“This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group®, PEOPLE Magazine & Hershey’s, but all my opinions are my own. #HersheysPeople #pmedia http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO
Life is crazy right now. I can feel winter quickly approaching, Halloween hasn’t even passed and Christmas decor is everywhere.
It feels like the stores are helping me feel even more rushed.
Between trying to be involved in school, church, family, and friends I have been feeling spread pretty thin. This week I had a couple minutes to myself so I decided to head to Target to get some Halloween supplies. While I can’t usually get out of there for under $100, I committed to getting just the bare necessities. Hershey’s Candy and this weeks’ People Magazine. Lucky for all of us, there is a $2 off coupon right now for these items. Hurry though, it’s only available while supplies last!
No matter how crazy life gets, I always want to make sure both my family and I are taken care of. I always want my kids to know that no matter how busy mommy is, she always has time to make them feel special. Since my favorite way to take a little “Mommy Timeout” and recharge my battery is to create, it is the perfect time to do something special for my kids as well.
I love to bake, but since the schools don’t allow for home made treats anymore, I had to make Joe’s Halloween treats for his class extra special. I came up with this Hershey’s Miniatures graveyard. Just wrapped the mini candy bars in the printable found HERE and stuck them to a black piece of cardstock with double stick tape. Thanks Summer for making it for me! He can take it to school on Thursday and hand them out to all of his friends!
The little tombstones make such a cute little treat and he is going to be so excited to share them with his classmates.
Now that all the crafting is done, it’s time to break open my People and catch up on all the “important” news in the world. I’m excited to see all the photos from Kelly Clarkson’s wedding! I have a few close family members with upcoming weddings and can’t wait to get some ideas to help them decorate. Sometimes it’s nice to tune out, leave the laundry, let Dad entertain the kids and take a much needed time out. It doesn’t hurt that it happens to involve chocolate and celebrity gossip!
So how have you been recharging this Fall?
xo,
