We have a couple of weddings coming up on my husband’s side of the family right around the holidays.
My sister got married just after Christmas and I thought she was nuts putting so much stress on herself, but when you know you know!
The family members we know getting married are all students.
I’m going to go out on a limb and say bridal showers can be expensive.
Especially if you are a sister and you are throwing a couple of them. You might throw a family shower, friend shower, church shower, or maybe a future mother in law will throw a shower.
I wanted to put together a few ideas for bridal shower games that weren’t expensive and asked my darling nieces and a couple cousins to try them out.
I found a coupon at Target that helped me start planning.
Buy Cottonelle Triple Roll 12 pack or larger and get a FREE box of Kleenex.
Hurry! This offer is available while supplies last.
I bought the larger one because there was an extra coupon on it and we have a full house.
Here are my cute nieces (4 on the left) and my husband’s cute cousins (2 on the right)
We picked teams and went inside to start making a game plan.
Let’s be honest, we mainly chatted, laughed, and ate sweets.
I had them make wedding dresses out of the toilet paper. I gave them tulle, netting, and lace that I had lying around.
Team A went with a tighter mermaid look and Team B went with a more Greek look.
Which do you like better?
I love the rolled rosette on the headpiece and on the end of the shoulder sash!
When we finished that game, I asked them to make bridal bouquets out of the toilet paper.
The Cottonelle Triple Roll was really soft, but also durable.
To this game, I added felt, paper straws, and pipe cleaner. All cheap stuff and really fun to see what they came up with.
They hot glued felt rosettes to paper straws, curled pipe cleaner, and turned them into stems.
It was such a fun evening laughing and crafting with Cottonelle.
If you don’t have a bridal shower coming up, here’s one more idea.
My sister in law threw her 12 year old a reality tv show party. The party was filled with contests from Cake Boss to What Not to Wear to Say Yes to the Dress. Have the girls make wedding dresses out of Cottonelle Triple Roll and whoever gets the most Yes’s wins!
xo,
