I’m so excited to be posting What I Wore. I haven’t posted an outfit in so long and I’ve missed surfing around the style posts and getting ideas for cute and comfy outfits. I have needed the motivation to get out of my sweats! It’s been so cold this winter, I’ve just wanted to bundle up in a blanket and have probably done too much of that!
I needed a picture for our Simply Serve 2014 project and I asked everyone to wear black, white or brown (neutrals) for the logo.
I went to look in my closet and I had nothing black…You might think I’m exaggerating, but seriously I had 1 short sleeve black shirt and 1 black cardigan. From being washed they weren’t the same shade and I was not going to freeze my buns off to take a picture.
I headed to H&M and of course they had black!
Who doesn’t have any black?!
Outfit is from H & M

I called one of my best friends and asked her if she’d snap a few pictures for the logo. We have 7 kids 9 and under between us. The play really well together and she told us to come on over! She is one of the nicest people I know and is always up to help out. I could not get it together for the life of me. She took so many pictures and I’m either laughing, making a duck face, or staring off into space while she played around with the lighting. I owe her big time.

By the end of taking pictures we were numb. Like red noses and frozen fingers numb, but we had a fun time with a lot of laughs and close calls from sliding in the snow.
Help a girl out…How do you keep black from fading?

Hi. I just stumbled upon your blog from the link up and I am so happy I did. I am a new Mamma myself and am always looking at other moms for adorable tots and cute styles. You nailed this Outfit. So simple yet so chic. You cannot go wrong with Black Monochrome.
As far as keeping blacks from fading, I usually wash them with a detergent that you can only wash black clothes with. That usually helps.
Gorgeous photos too.
Hope you stop by my blog as well, and that we can stay in touch and support each-other by following. Thanks & Happy Wednesday, Ada. =)
haha–I went to a school where the dress code was that everything you wore had to be solid black–I can’t imagine not owning any black clothes!! 😛
the only way i keep my black clothes really black is 1. selective washing lol. 2. wash in cold water only.
3. no dryer.
I love your post – and YOU are adorable !
happy Wednesday…

What a hottie! You look fabulous, friend!
That’s crazy you had nothing black! Black takes up so much of my closet and I constantly have to make myself pick different colors when I’m shopping.

Fun layering – I adore the accessories!
With these freezing temperatures, I have also needed an immense amount of motivation to wear something other than leggings or sweats, too. I can’t believe you hardly own black, my clothes that are black take up a good 50% of my closet. So glad I found your blog through the link up 🙂
